Understand your inner landscape & how to move through it

Ba Zi is an ancient Chinese astrology system

A reading looks at the elemental map at the moment of your birth — what shapes how you think, how you relate, where you struggle and where you thrive — and how that pattern fits with the current year and the larger season of life you're in. Not prediction. Understanding.  And with understanding comes the ability to move through the world with more ease and less resistance.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You keep running into the same patterns no matter how hard you try to change them

  • You sense there's a deeper thread running through your life — one that belongs to a tapestry you haven't fully seen yet

  • You're at a crossroads and looking for clarity on what's next

  • You're drawn to eastern philosophy, astrology or the wisdom of natural cycles

  • You want to understand your gifts and challenges

What brings people to a Ba Zi reading

  • Life transitions

  • Chronic health issues

  • Uncertainty about the future

  • Feeling stuck or restless without a clear cause

  • A sense of being out of step with your own life

  • Relationship challenges — repeating patterns in love or friendship

  • Career crossroads — wrong path, feeling unfulfilled, not sure what's next

  • Curious about their elemental nature — their gifts, their challenges, and when to act and when to wait

90 minutes

A deep dive into your personal chart — the elemental map of your nature. We'll focus on the themes and questions most alive for you right now: relationships, career, inner life, understanding your blind spots, your gifts and how to work with your challenges. Ba Zi Birth Chart Reading
& Acupuncture

For those who want to go deeper. The chart reveals the elemental pattern beneath what you're experiencing — your constitutional strengths, your imbalances, the timing of what you're moving through. The acupuncture works with that same pattern in the body, translating what the chart shows into physical treatment. One decodes. The other addresses. Together they work at a level neither reaches alone.  Includes a 90 minute chart reading followed by 60 minute acupuncture sessions — the number determined by what the chart reveals and what you want to work on. (acupuncture in-person only, chart reading can be in-person or via online video)

My Unique Approach

From the same source

Ba Zi is rooted in the same Taoist philosophy that underlies Chinese medicine — the five elements, the cycles of nature, the wisdom of knowing when to act and when to wait. Think of it as a map of your inner landscape — the elemental forces that shape your nature. Just as you wouldn't plant a tropical tree in a northern climate and expect it to thrive, understanding your elemental nature means learning to flow with it rather than against it.

Not prediction. Understanding.

Here's how to Begin

Step One

Reach out Fill out my contact form and let me know which reading you're interested in. I'll be in touch to schedule your session.

Step Two

Share your birth information. I'll need your date, time and place of birth to prepare your chart — and any areas of focus or questions you'd like to explore. This is where the work begins, before we ever meet.

Step Three

Our time together is spent exploring what your chart reveals — and how to work with it.

FAQs

  • Ba Zi translates literally as "eight characters" in Chinese — referring to the eight elemental symbols that make up your birth chart. Four pillars of time (year, month, day and hour of birth), each containing two characters: a heavenly stem and an earthly branch. Together they form a unique elemental map of your nature.

  • Western astrology is based on the position of the planets at the time of your birth and their ongoing movement through the sky. Ba Zi is rooted in an entirely different system — the five elements of nature (water, wood, fire, earth and metal) and the Chinese lunisolar calendar. Rather than looking to the heavens, Ba Zi looks at how elemental forces manifest in your nature here on earth.

  • Not directly. While both systems use your birth information, they're entirely separate frameworks. Your western sun sign won't map onto your Ba Zi chart — think of them as two different languages describing two different things.

  • Not quite. In Ba Zi every chart contains all five elements in varying degrees — water, wood, fire, earth and metal. Rather than being one element, you have a unique elemental composition. Some elements may be stronger or weaker in your chart, and understanding that balance is part of what the reading reveals.

  • The animal most people know (Year of the Dragon, Year of the Rabbit etc.) is just one piece of a much larger picture. In Ba Zi you have a different animal and element for your year, month, day and hour of birth — each layer adding depth and nuance to your chart. The year animal alone is like reading just one word of a whole sentence.
